Citizens Utility Board flierTAYLORVILLE – State Senator Andy Manar (D-Bunker Hill) will host a Utility Bill Workshop from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, at Christian County Senior Citizens.

“Illinois utility customers have options in the marketplace to lower their bills. Working families and seniors living on fixed incomes need to know about those available options,” Manar said.

The workshop gives utility customers the chance to sit down one-on-one with a specialist from the Citizens Utility Board and review their gas, electric and phone bills to find savings, learn about programs to lower bills and get tips on making their homes more energy efficient.

CUB is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that works and advocates for residential utility customers across the state.

The workshop is open to the public but space is limited, so those interested in attending should call Manar’s office at 217-782-0228 to reserve a time to speak to a CUB specialist.

Participants should bring copies of their electric, gas and phone bills.
